Hope Lodge And The Ambler Symphony Orchestra

Last Wednesday hubby and I attended a free concert at Hope Lodge given by the Ambler Symphony Orchestra.

We just turned up not thinking about chairs or anything, fortunately I keep a picnic rug in the car so we had that to sit on.  Next time I'll know what to bring, a picnic, wine or cocktails which I noticed some other folk had.

Lovely evening though and a beautiful setting.

Many years ago BR before Rob, we had attended an Afternoon Tea here accompanied by a quintet. I did ask about them, but with budget cut backs Hope Lodge is only open on special occasions and not that many.  So another event axed by the current economy.

On the way home we drove through a cemetary and a fox ran across and in front of us and off into the woods.  He was a lovely site.

We also landed up finding an old bicycle out for the trash a Raleigh and it had a  Brook's Leather seat;  which our son said are quite sort after, although this was in need of some rejuvenation but it's marvelous what a little saddle soap can do.
