Hi Dear Folk,
Jean and I were up and out early, to make sure we got our tickets for the Fjord Cruise. We were at the boat way before they were ready to sell tickets, but since we were standing in the rain, the weather is so changeable in Norway, the young man took pity on us and sold the tickets to us. We could have booked on line but wanted to use our Norwegian Kroner cash.
Some early morning shots of the harbour area in Stavanger.
After all this early morning tryst we decided to get a nice hot cup of coffee. Who knew that 7 Eleven was multi national, I guess one should not be surprised. But let's say we avoid 7 Eleven because on the whole they do not have a good reputation. So this 7 Eleven store in Stavanger was quite a nice surprise.
First of all somewhere to sit and drink ones coffee and a seat with a view.
This 7 Eleven was so clean and we chatted with the manager who was born in Norway his mum was Norwegian and his dad from Pakistan, he couldn't have been nicer. A lovely counter to sit at and view the harbour. Fresh coffee, lovely pastries and sandwiches, all so clean. Which is our biggest problem with 7 Eleven in the States where we live, they are just not clean and the fare mediocre.
Moral of story, cheap place to buy a coffee, beautiful fresh sandwiches and local pastries in Norway a 7 Eleven.
Christine
