I did see the solar eclipse from Center City Philadelphia. Here in Philadelphia it was only a partial eclipse 75%.. Below is the path of the total eclipse from Oregon over to South Carolina
You have to wonder what people thought years ago when they didn't understand what an eclipse was. The sun was most important for crops and that is why they celebrated Saturnalia on the shortest day of the year, the Winter Solstice.

Tiny crescent above the buildings there. Little more of a close up below. We were able to borrow some glasses and see it, that was pretty neat, 2:43PM

ReplyDeleteWe were at 80% totality here but I did not have glasses and I was at work. Still it got a bit dimmer out for a few minutes.
