Just a simple post, my mum died this morning 8:30AM UK time.

Eiffel Tower

I had to break down and purchase some Picasso/Google photo web space to continue uploading photos to Blogger.  I may just drop Flikr and stay only with Picassa since you have to buy the space on both and it doesn't seem cost effective.  In any case I can blog again, with pics.

I'm late for July in Paris, but I had a few photos lined up that I wanted to share with you.  The Eiffel Tower is so iconic and I wanted to come home with something with the Eiffel Tower on it.  In the end I bought a key chain; which I actually used as a zip pull on one of my bags, but eventually it broke.  Paris is tres expensive.  So one day I'm pottering around on Ebay and what do I come across but a lovely inkwell pen stand souvenir, that obviously someone bought years ago on their trip, with an Eiffel Tower on it.  Just perfect, it sits on my Eastlake desk.
